Dear Allen [Bubolz],
Regarding the highly disturbing situation within the John Birch Society, I fought for my country in two wars to defend the Constitution as it is written, and I considered serving on the National Council of the JBS to be a good a way to serve my country in civilian life. The current crisis in the Society is most alarming, and like you I take it seriously.
Furthermore, I believe that the Council needs to take hold of the situation, and, living up to our obligations, act according to the rules put in place by Robert Welch.
The Executive Committee must be restored to its pre-October 2005 structure and with the Council should use the authority they have to preserve the John Birch Society.
Nothing else will suffice, and no other way I know of will save the JBS.
Thanks, Allen for your letter. You have my respectful good wishes. You may use this letter in any way you find useful. I have sent a copy to Wayne Rickert.
Warm regards,
Andy Gatsis (Council Member)
