To: Wayne Rickert
Thank you so much for the letter exposing the lies and deceptions of Art Thompson, Jack McManus and their new board of directors, as well as many of their misguided followers.
My late husband [Executive Committee member Joseph Grinnan] and I were members of the John Birch Society since January of 1960, and never would we have dreamed that this group of men could take over our only hope of saving our beloved country. This is scarier than anything the conspirators have done to us.
Gigantic egos and personal lusts for power seem to have become more important to Art, Jack and their henchmen than preserving freedom.
The character assassinations of Vance Smith and those of you who are brave enough to see through these people and stand up have been horrible and uncalled for. They have made sure that they aired their “dirty laundry” in the JBS Bulletins – which must be making the conspirators very happy. The new JBS is managing to destroy itself from within. Please get them out.
May God forgive them and may they quickly resign so that the Executive Committee and Council may be reconstituted as they were up to October, 2005, and then we can get back our Society and continue Mr. Welch’s brilliant vision of how to fight for and save civilization.
Sincerely, Ann Grinnam
